Next up is Silverhawks!!!

The Silverhawks were made by Kenner but the show used the same animation company that brought us Thundercats, although those were made by LJN. That is a shame as the toys were completely out of scale with each other. It would have been cool to have a unified scale shared by both lines since the shows were so similar in animation and voice talent.

Oh well, another lost opportunity in the history books.

Each Series 1 figure came with a "bird" of some kind. This was dropped in Series 2 with some figures such as Windhammer and Ultrasonic Steelwill.

Each figure had an action feature as well, some better than others.

There were also several "kid-sized" birds and vehicles.

ANYWAY, on to the goods!!!!!

Over the years, I've gotten everything I wanted from the Silverhawks line. I never really liked the villians on the show and some of the figures were pretty bad, so I just got the ones I wanted. BUT, for the Hawks, I got 'em all.

So here's the breakdown:

THE HEROES!!!!

Quicksilver with Tally-Hawk and Stargazer with Sly-Bird

The Twins: Steelheart with Rayzor and Steelwill with Stronghold

Copper Kidd with May-Day and Bluegrass with Sideman

Flashback with Backlash and Hotwing with Gyro

Second Series:

Condor with Jet Stream and Moon-Stryer with Tail-Spin

Condor and Moon-Stryer using thier hawks:

Ultrasonic Suit Steelwill, Quicksilver and Bluegrass

Transformed via helmets and accessories:

The few villians I have:

Windhammer, Buzz-Saw with Shredator and Hardware with Prowler. Windhammer and Hardware are Series 2, while Buzz-Saw is Series 1.

CARD ART!!!!

Great to see the chrome paint hasn't worn off in time.

I really like seeing the group shots that accompany your reviews.

Great stuff Stars! Thumbs Up You seem to have them in great shape. Pretty rare for such aged figs.

While I've heard all about both, I honestly don't ever remember watching the show or seeing the figures. Weird? I think it was because they would have been a year or two after I started High School and I stopped buying action figures.

"Shredator". Best name ever!

Nice one! Buzz-saw was the only toy I had from the Silver Hawks but he was one of the few that stayed with me for most of my childhood. I love the look of him, and his 'buzz saw' action feature was always lots of fun. One of the better vllains from the line I believe. Awesome collection btw, though I don't recognize/remember the green hawkguy. What's his story?

Onigaijan:

Here's a synopsis of Flashback.  Smiley

Flashback - A green time-traveling Silverhawk from the far future. When he meets the 'much older' Stargazer, who tells him of the fateful day the SilverHawks died, Flashback travels back in time to save them from an exploding sun. He also traveled back in time to stop Hardware from destroying the SilverHawks (when the mad inventor sabotaged the Miraj during the S-Hawks hyperspace-sleep to Hawk-Haven from Earth, which would have caused the autopilot to fly them straight into the sun). Flashback's weapon-bird is Backlash.

And yeah, they do seem like great candidates for a revival, but with the length of time it took us to get a Thundercats revival, we'll be seeing new Silverhawks in 2025!!!! Cheesy Cheesy

I love that pieces like this can still be found! Makes you wonder where they've all been hiding to stay in such nice shape?
