Title: Xander's Cave... Updated 4/25/09
Post by: Xander on February 21, 2009, 11:37:19 am
I haven't actually taken collection pics in a while and I've changed a lot of things around.  But here's a few to start off with:

Vintage Star Wars, mostly from Empire

Medicom Clone Troopers: Tomax and Xamot, I never named the 501st troop

Very nice Xander, those vintage SW bring back so many memories for me.I used to have the whole lot, left them behind in a house i was renting and of course never got them back once i realised.
Love me some Clone action too!

I had all the vintage stuff too. Sold alot of the figures to fund my superhero habit, still have odds and ends, but all the playsets and everything I am sure my my threw out. Oh, the tragedy.....

I only had six or seven vintage guys and of them the only two I knew were R2D2 and Lando, Skiff guard version.  I had Admiral Ackbar too but didn't know his name.  Empire is my favorite film of all time so that's where my collection really stems from, with a couple extras added in. :)

Here's a shot of the Joes as they sit in one of my cases.  I'll admit these aren't the best pics, my cases are not lighted ones  :-\ .  I'll try and get better shots and do a full feature in customs section when I get back in town.

Rock N Roll, Cutter, Shipwreck (and Polly), Wild Bill, Hawk

Flint, Beachhead, Snow Job, Outback, Recondo, Tunnel rat

Man those Joes look amazing. I also just realized how much Wild Bill looks like the Construction Worker from the Village People  ;D

Seriously though, they look terrific

Pretty cool stuff.  Shipwreck is looking badass, but this former Sailor may be a bit biased. ;)

Been re-working my display and some of my vintage figures have taken over the top shelf in one of the cases.

I like the mixture of different figures you have got going there! I've got the same group shot of MOTUC as well. What is the in the background of the Masters shot?

Lion-O still looks pretty badass.  Used to have one that had a missing leg.  I'd love for this franchise to be picked up by Mattel and the 4H.

Yeah Thundercats is dying for a revival!!

Given the success of Transformers (the movie) and the impendng GI Joe flick, I suspect if the new robots film and the joes film do well they will be looking for other licenses for the big screen treatment. Thundercats would be very cool....as would Centurions.
