That batcave is going to be more then the ghostbusters firehouse expensive for some reason.

I can feel that I am on the edge of a very dangerous precipice. My MOTUC purchasing has been limited to the great rebellion and the horde guys from the POP cartoon (with an occasionally "that's so cool" character filling their ranks). So I thought Perfuma and I'm out! (with a few holes to maybe one day fill). But I have got to say that filmation Beast Man is so tempting, then of course Skeletor also looks good and what's Beast Man without Skeletor. Then of course most of my MOTU pleasure in recent times has come from Robot Chicken so Skeletor, Beast Man and Evil Lyn are a comedy triple act so that would be nice to have. Which then leads to the question, even though I currently have no interest in filmation Trap Jaw but would I regret it later if I missed him? On the upside the great rebellion figures have been pretty much filmation so I can't see them coming up again in the future.

Picked up the Hobbit set with Agent Smith, Galadriel, and the Witch King on deep discount at K-Mart today.

4 minifigures (it also has a skeleton), for $6 is a steal.

Bargin

sweet iceman and the changeable base is a pretty neat idea.

Hey Jersey, I picked up Sunday Best Marge, Millhouse, Willy, Dr Hibbert, Maggie and Selma.

Woohoo!!!!  yess.gif

Go fuck yourself Mulder!!!!   Grin

I got my daughter Maggie.  Since it came with dog, I figured we find a use for it.

And come on folks, even if you LIKE the Simpsons....this series licks royal balls!  The whole family is there AGAIN!  There a probably hundreds of Simpson characters.  What the fuck would we need 2 Homers for?

So we'll buy multiple Batman figs, but give us Bart as The Bartman and everyone is suddenly hurling cacti?

Got Bart and Lisa. Santa's Little Helper is awesome.

I think they overdid the family figures since we had  them all twice already from the first wave and the house. In the minifig line I would have dropped the baby (but included the dog elsewhere) and had the other four as perhaps treehouse of horror monster variants. With the Kwik E Mart I would have dropped Marge and Bart and included Jasper (I will be so annoyed if a mini figure actually fits in that fridge) and also included one of the bullies to play the arcade machines or shop lift.

I was pretty much what I was expecting, which isn't a bad thing but I wasn't expecting the second coming like some people on some boards.
Balancing powers is something really tricky to do in superhero movies (but I guess we all knew this would be the case) sometime a lot of powerful heroes seem to take a lot of effort to do something that is then achieved with a single arrow 10 mins later. Scarlet Witches powers were all over the place (as were her power levels), I saw the movie with my brother who isn't into comics and he wasn't impressed with her and wanted to know why her powers changed halfway through. Which goes to show the thin line there is between fan service and confusing the vast majority of the viewing public, even though in the comics shes a core Avenger in the movieverse She-Hulk, Ms Marvel or even Tigra with a two line origin (Which is two more lines then SW got) would be easier for audiences to get there head around in a short time. I did however like the the actress played SW with some sort of Eastern European accent (Lets hope she doesn't loose it like Storm did). I preferred this version of Quicksilver to the x-men one, he seem more authentic and also basically nothing beats super speed (certainly not poxy batman with all the time to plan in the world) which is why the x-men didn't take him along to conclude the final fight in about 6 seconds where as avengers quicksilver at least had some limitations. Finally in a similar vein Vision was super powerful and disappeared for the majority of the end fight.
