Saw it yesterday and REALLY enjoyed it! Had a big smile throughout most of it as compared to GREEN LANTERN. Didn't have time to see THOR or X-MEN: FIRST CLASS when they were in the theater, but my son saw both and liked them. 

I have both of those, too and JUST saw the Kirby one used for $20 at Hasting's (used-handled). I was tempted to get it for my son, but I don't know if he'd appreciate it enough. Every true super-hero comic book fan should have the Kirby book!

Went and saw GREEN LANTERN yesterday. Mmmmm...didn't hate it, but I was hoping to LIKE it more. Kind of under-whelming and just seemed weird to have Parallax to face as a foe when Hal has just become a Green Lantern. Such an overwhelmingly POWERFUL foe right off the bat? Kind of ludicrous.

I saw the normal version, not the 3-D.  The way I pictured the ring effects in my mind and then seeing them also seemed somewhat disappointing. Yeah, it would be hard not to recognize him with just that little mask.

It didn't suck, but I have no desire to really watch it again. Watching parts of that SUPERMAN RETURNS movie on FX the other night made me appreciate THAT more than this...and I never thought I'd want to sit and watch that movie again. It (Superman) was beautifully photographed. I found myself watching part of it again.

I can't see this (GL) becoming some movie franchise. I wanted to like it, believe me. Sinestro looked cool and I liked Hector Hammond.

I was more into THE INCREDIBLES as a super-hero movie than this (even got the DVD).

VERY nice!  Brings back memories of my youth and the first regular Marvel series I followed off the stands.

It took a LONG time to complete our trade...years.  Both of us went through health problems with parents and in-laws and it has eaten more into John's free time for sure (John Jezior=actorjez).  The figure originally began as an ANIMAL MAN custom, so that should tell you something about when this all began.  Not long after that I found out DC was making an Animal Man, so he just continued him as CAPT. ATOM since he wasn't far along.

In the meantime there have been TWO Animal Man figures (plus JLU one at least) and I doubted that I'd ever see any made commercially.  The older I get time just flies by (unfortunately).  I couldn't believe how long it had been when I checked our messages on FWOOSH when he sent me photos for approval.

So, it's not like he was lazy or a slacker and I am SOOOOOO proud of it.  Now if they make a DC Direct or DCUC one I will REALLY be surprised! Now if I can swap someone artwork to make me a quality DOCTOR SOLAR (Silver Age) custom.  I've seen a couple of good ones online, but it is hard to see fine detail on either to know if they would hold up to close scrutiny. Solar would sure have an easier costume.

Lordy, I need to straighten up my studio soon...it has gotten embarrassingly cluttered again.
