Their case pack outs astound me.  1 of the hot new figure and multiple re-packs of old stuff.  banghead.gif

The 3 3/4" Hoth Trooper seems to be causing all sorts of grief in terms of availability

Fishmilkshake is looking for a Hydra pack, but lives in Australia.  If you could get him one he'd probably name a kid after you.

Probably more inclined to rename one I already have  Grin

So....I did order two of these from BBTS. Thanks chaps!

I liked the finale. Was nice to finish off a season without a major character being killed off in the most unimaginable way Kirkman can think of.
I'm sorta okay with what Rick did re: Negan. Morgan commented to Rick about his speech in the bar and giving his word, which he then ignored and killed those dudes anyway being a point of no return....but then not killing Negan because of Carl's legacy is his redemption, etc, etc. I still think he should have been offed....but I can see why Rick chose not to.

How about the season return of F.t.W.D? I really enjoyed it. Though Morgan being a dumbass grew old fast. The new characters were cool.

We have enjoyed it so far too. We're five episodes in. The robot is kinda cool. Especially its voice.

Who is this aimed at?

Most Marvel "fans" don't even know who the Eternals are?

They better hurry up if they want a Stan Lee cameo.

Thank you sirs. Only the Avengers wave has started hitting my Walgreens. I'll have to check a few more.

"The Thing" is out an about too apparently

But can Chewie get a DUI on a Dewie?

 Cheesy

I'm gonna pick up a few Dewbacks. Not because I need them, but because I need to send a message to Hasbro that I want more of this kinda stuff.
Okay, maybe I do need them.
Okay, need is a strong word, but the collector in me wants them for some reason.
Okay, so maybe I'm a little addicted.
No I'm not.
You are.

My enthusiasm died off a bit when I splashed out on one of the trolls and it's pretty shit.
It's rotocast with a couple of points of articulation and very limited posability.

I think they seem perfect. Cable’s supposed to be like 6’9

Yeah, 6'8" according to the wiki. Two inches taller than Thor and an inch taller than Thanos.

I was disappointed with the lack of "Leaked wave" images on Facebook for April Fool's Day. Last year a leaked X-Men wave (April fool's) had fanboys in a tiz and was much fun to laugh at their expense.
11  The Collector's Life / The Pegs / Re: DC and Mattel 2018: 15 years together. Time to go away or relaunch? on: April 01, 2018, 06:43:00 pm
Granted, Mattel gave us years of waves that were almost entirely classic. DCUC was pretty amazing in retrospect. As much grief as we give Scott, him and the 4H really loved their Bronze and Silver age figures.

This is spot on. We can't forget just how much awesomeness they gave us. Much more than was probably deserved at retail.

What sours me is the lack of international distribution. That must have hurt sales and those extra numbers could have been evidence for Mattel to show DC that stuff was selling even better than it was.
I know SD repeatedly says DCUC was canned because DC wanted to move into the new world branding, but you don't kill a cash cow if it's shitting money.

My biggest gripe is still Toy Guru lying to use at the end about the sub. Every time he opened his mouth it was factually incorrect. Such as telling us he couldn't reveal the sub line-up because they didn't know and then in a different breath telling us it takes 16 months to plan and tool a figure. The only way we could get the uber-Doomsday was to to hit that target for subs, missing, then releasing the figure anyway, etc.

Slott is a good writer and Pichelli is a great artist so should be good.

Given how much editorial interference there is from Editors nowadays, Slott managed to dig his out from under it to write some great Spidey stories.

The winning formula for Marvel has always been that their weaknesses are psychological, human, relatable.  DC weaknesses are kryptonite, fire, and yellow.

DCUC feels like a lifetime ago.

I don't even think about DC figures much now. I give the occasional nod to a figure or two announced in a future Multiverse wave. But the large numbers of movie/TV/artist specific figs in a wave mean that I cherry pick. Even a kick-ass C&C like King Shark wasn't enough to make me buy a single figure in that wave.

Unfortunately as a universe builder, the characters I need to continue that are almost an impossibility now. A Golden Age Mr Terrific, etc.
