Just make figures of characters I don't already have. That's all I want from both Hasbro and Mattel.

I know we'll always get Batverine in waves because they sell, but that's to entice new buyers......they need to throw a bone to those of us that have been there from the beginning.

Interestingly, I was watching "The toys that made us" episode on M.O.T.U and they noted that what eventually led to the downfall of the line was that some eight years later, they were cranking out all these whacky new characters as fast as the team could conceive of them, but by then, all the 8-10 year olds were teenagers and moved on, but for the new kids looking to buy something, they couldn't find the core characters on pegs anymore because no one thought to keep reissuing He-Man and Skeletor, etc.

It's a delicate balance I guess.

Very sad.

I know people tend to focus on his self imposed solitude, but I think they forget that he lived the way he wanted to. He said many times he wanted people to know his work, not the man who created it.
While he never attended a huge Con to allowed fans to thank him, he certainly seemed to take comfort in the letters that people wrote to him. I wrote to him just before X-Mas last year and received a prompt and feisty response. He marched to the beat of his own drum.

R.I.P good Sir!

That SDCC exclusive Netflix boxed set is a kick in the junk to classic collectors. This is something that would sell okay at retail.

I really thought SDCC might be the place we'd get a classic Guardians of the Galaxy or New Mutants set. Something that would please the Hasbro/Marvel suits because it could be linked to media properties, but would make comic fans happy. They could even have done a 'Cosmic' set as an excuse to do Phylla-Vell, Moondragon, Classic Mantis, etc.

But instead we get "Sitting on the Crapper Colleen", "Away from me woman Cage" and "Doesn't anybody like me Danny" (No we don't, you're ostracized for a reason).

I'm really kinda over MCU Marvel Legends. I'm hoping with the gap between films we see some solid ML waves of comic accurate figures.
With Ant-Man 2 next month and Cap Marvel in March 2019, that only leaves Venom in October. The ML Venom wave is entirely comic themed so hopefully we get a few more waves before Hasbro feel the need to tie in a wave to Cap Marvel. I really want to see them close some gaps with Alpha Flight, New Mutants and X-Factor.

I'm disappointed that Sideshow have felt the need to start redoing characters they've already done in their premium format line. Announcing we'll be getting Mystique, Emma, Rogue and Psylocke.....again is pretty shitty when we're still waiting on Iceman, Angel and Beast. Not even a hint of Nightcrawler or Kitty. I guess the reverse of action figures is true.....female statues sell.

I'm still waiting on a pulp line. Here's hoping Mezco's 1:12 Popeye sells well enough for them to pursue The Shadow, Doc Savage, Zorro, Tarzan, etc.

Shroud has to be an easy redo using Cloak's....ugh....cloak.

Thanks, Dusty!

Thing definitely isn't terrible.  I'd probably buy him.

He's actually not as tall as I thought he'd be.

The Netflix set is a total pass for me. I couldn't have been more off in my prediction if I tried. Like many I hoped it was going to be a classic G.o.t.G set.....but I secretly hoped it'd be New Mutants.

Those package jobs on Deadpool are pretty funny. Glad to see Hasbro getting creative.

QFT.  Makes me feel even better about buying more Deadpools I don't need.

Cheesy This is me too. The idea of missing out on that Sauron is not one I want to think about....even if it means getting stuck with figures I'll never display. Bastards!

btw,imo I thought spider man 800 was pure crap. It seems like every big anniversary he has to have "fight to end all fights" with the goblin. And the big death in it didn't move me a bit,I'm becoming cold as I approach a half century in age lol.

It took me a second to even remember who died?  Cheesy

I'm looking forward to a change in ASM.

JLA #1 was pretty good stuff. Feels like a return to the classics with a modern twist. Cheung's art is hit and miss. All his faces look the same.

Do they fit in with previously released stuff?

Got the Dewback for my birthday.  Not only do I now realize 41 years later the name sounds slightly racist, but given their flat teeth they must be herbivores.  Makes sense.  Carnivore mounts are probably a bad idea.  A fun toy and a decent size I wouldn't want to get much bigger.  TRU had the First Order Tie for 50% off, but I couldn't pull the trigger.  Where would I keep the thing?

Space is for the weak!

looking at promo art for the next movie from fb hulk is wearing a suit and I think has a more human face so I think he has banner's intellect in the next film.

That's cool, but I don't think I'm ready for too much of a change up. I really don't want to see Evans leave.

I bought it. I'll read it and let you know.

Looks like the Apocalypse wave is out and about.

I don't generally support repeat characters, but I want that new Psylocke.

Me too, but the lack of purple hair bugs me.

She'll probably be in the next "Vintage" wave with corrected hair.  Cheesy
