1  The Collector's Life / The Pegs / Re: Four Horsemen Mythic Legions on: July 23, 2017, 01:51:22 am
4H have finished with the reveals for their pre order that is going live on July 19th. I anticipated that they would only offer 4 or so figures but instead they are offering quite a few and an over sized cyclops. Is anyone else planning on pre ordering any of these? I like the homage to MOTU and the Raygorr figure in D&D warduke colors.

I was really keen for the cyclops, but I just scored a Rock Troll for a bit less than retail and I have mixed feelings about it. Enough that I'm unlikely to order the cyclops now. I'll review it on the next ep of the podcast if you wanna hear more.
I listened to your review of the rock troll. I agree with your points about articulation. I'm happy that they are trying to make different types of characters to mix it up. Due to the size and the price, I am content with owning just one of the trolls. I am interested in the ogres they are showing at sdcc.

I think I'm out for a while with the ML stuff as it's just cost prohibitive to get here in Australia.

Big ones for me are:
- Sideshow Swamp Thing maquette
- Mezco 1:12 Popeye
- Star Wars Black Dewback.

Meanwhile, the most interesting Marvel Comics news I've heard so far is Mark Waid on Captain America.  A rumor we've been hearing for weeks.

Thank fucking Crom! I thought it was go be that Ta-sneezy fellow from Black Panther.

Things I liked:
- The figure/bike packs. If they sell then hopefully we see more of the same. Maybe even a Punisher battle van one day.
- Songbird and X-23.
- Walgreen's continuing to bring us figures we might not otherwise get at retail

Things I didn't like.
- Poorest showing in years. Of all the figures shown, I count just 5 that haven't had figures before (Songbird, Lasher, Jewel/Jessica, Gwenpool, Spider-Punk)
- Fucking Apocalypse....as opposed to Shadow King, Strong Guy, Nimrod/Bastion.....or goddamn Sauron!!
- The pandering MCU influence.

They should have some kind of deal going on where you mail them back your ICONS, they melt down the plastic to use for new toys, and give you a discount if you buy said New Toys.  Haha!

Hehehehe. That made me laugh  Cheesy

New ML Black Widow on bike. She looks good.

Looks like the vintage wave will take a page out of the SWBlack cap with some old figs released on vintage cards.

Sad that there's no Thundercats  Undecided

But check out the awesomeness from Mezco. Their 1:12 stuff is getting better and better.

I would definitely like to hear your review. I got the same troll. It's big and looks cool in the back of my display but it was expensive. I'm hoping 4H has some more news during SDCC.

The lack of articulation killed it for me.

I posted those Ryu comparison pics on the AFB Facebook page for you too.

I'll have to check that out. My wife an I enjoyed GLOW on Netflix with Marc Maron and Alison Brie. It starts off slow but it's pretty funny. It's about the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling from the 80s.

Yeah, we're enjoying it too. The trainer is hilarious!

Do we wanna make this a generic SDCC 2017 news and reveal thread?

Too much Arya, too much Hound, too much Sam.  We have to grasp the fact that there are only twelve more episodes left and the story revolves around five central figures;  Cersei and Jamie, Dany and Tyrion, and Jon.  A lot has to come together in a short space of time.  Lets get to it.

I did like it when Mormont's scaly arm came out at Sam.   Grin

Go to your room!  Angry

I assumed this was your vinyl figure collection  Cheesy

Good stuff. I own exactly one record. The Marvel Amazing Spider-Man story with Man-Wolf.  Grin

Dunno how I missed your post Kav. I've been meaning to check out both those shows.

I finally got to watch "F is for Family". Man I was laffin'. As a wee lad in the seventies, this was half the houses in my street.
