16  The Collector's Life / The Pegs / Re: Dime Novel Legends Kickstarter on: October 24, 2019, 08:40:18 pm
Can't seem to resize the pics, so here's a link to my last three cowboys.

http://thefwoosh.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=91&t=94766&start=705

Jacked most of the Kid recipe from FB. Wyoming Kid was a character I stumbled on by accident. Had no idea he was a DC character. It worked out perfect with the leftovers from Billy & Colt. Just some paint for the gunbelt. A true spare parts custom, but I like it a lot. Kid Colt just lacks his vest. He needs the open vest from the Cowpuncher & I haven't picked it up yet. Also added Marauder glove hands to the Ranger & Tonto.  Afro

Preorder for 1.5 is open through the end of November. 140 shipped for the set of 5 is steep, but I'm not gonna get good cowboy figs (in any scale) anywhere else. dunno.gif

Got a stand in. Afro An older, wiser version for now. Funny enough, I've never owned any version of this one. V3-5 heads are all the same, so should be reasonable. A lil blonde dye job & he'll work for now.

So, KS 2 is off for now. They're releasing the last five figures from the first KS. Going to be a preorder period like Bossfight. Then Spring 2020 will be a preorder period for 5 new bucks & 5 each gear packs & accessory packs. Looking forward to some new reveals.

Thanks Foley! I've looked at most of those (need to look closer at Duke 32 & the pit commando), but not quite right. I'm really trying to get close to this look, as the Kid is really a wip.  Wink

The buck for Natchez is wip for ole Jonah, still gotta paint it, & and find a head. Kinda like the 2 Gun Mojo outfit.

I feel ya on the cost, bro. The (mostly) lack of DC product freed up some funds for the 1st batch for Ranger & Tonto, then some OT brought in Doc & the base for Jonah. I'll never have a 6" cowboy collection, so I'll make do with these, lol. Got Natives coming in series 2, so I'm hoping I can come up with Scalphunter. rock.gif

The Kid uses the Injustice Aquaman head from the old DCC line. I like the pretty boy look, but it's a bit small. All my Duke heads look too old. Any ideas?

Picked up 80th Thor, Sinister, Nightcrawler, & "worthy" Cap in the last couple weeks. Hasbro is really on top of their game. Thor, aside from the hammer, is near perfection. Nightcrawler is another A+. 90s X-Men nearer to completion.  Afro No special attachment to Sinister, but he makes for a badass toy. Looks like a great evil wizard or some such to go with my fantasy figs.

The Lone Ranger & Tonto I put together plus the cowboys I made with the leftovers. Price is steep, but damn, I like these a lot!  Afro Got plans for the white shirt cowboy, & plan to pick up a few more to make some more of my faves. Looking forward to the second kickstarter, too.

Shang f#*kin Chi!   rock.gif  I'd love a soft goods jacket to go with him, but I can get by with the WWE Pirate dude one for now. I'm sure one of the epay legends custom cloth guys will make a semi-proper one when he's released.

Classic Lizard & Doom are wins. Dig the Punisher in battle gear, will make for a good start for a Joe type LBC. Also like the War Machine/Iron Patriot repaint, but could care less about the rest of the MCU stuff.

Haven't kept up with the current WWE for quite some time, but I was quite tempted to pick up Eric Young in WM the other day. I always liked him in TNA & Matty is making great looking wrestling figures. Wish they'd given as much care to the DC stuff.

I do wish we'd gotten classic Herc, but I can deal with this one. Just wish he was taller.

Snagged Beast & Gambit too. Glad to add on to my 90s X team.  Afro

If anybody spots Mace in the wild, I'd gladly pay cost + shipping or trade you something nice.  Grin

Scored Bossk at a salvage store for $8 and picked up young Han & Inferno Squad trooper for $5 each at GameStop the other day.  rock.gif

In the past couple weeks, I've managed to snag most of the Kingpin wave, Studio Series Optimus Prime $13 & that bigass T-rex for $25. T-rex is still listed on Wal-Mart.com if anybody's interested.

Hate that the future of this line is so uncertain. Then again, I haven't been very excited with most of the offerings. Though I did grab the Aquaman figures marked down. I can put together a live action Big 7 JLA (plus a few extra) so there is that. rock.gif  Also I just ordered my Ray yess.gif so there were a few bright spots amongst the gloom. It's been real, Matty. I guess we're back to the norm for DC collectors. Cry  I just wish DC had done the smart thing & went to Hasbro. We might've had a wait, but at least we know the line would be done right.  Undecided
