Have no idea who some of these are, but they all look good. Your Punisher and Guardsman are incredible!

I'm really over most of the Avengers -- with the exception of the second-stringers -- Vision, Scarlet Witch, Ant-Man, Black Panther-- and now, the Wasp.

I'm not really interested in redos of the entire DCU.  I'm not saying that a figure should NOT be done again just because it was done so well for DCUC, but I'm not about to buy another Elasti-Girl or camo Aquaman when the ones I have are great.

I think we will probably see some classic figures that have never been done. I'd love to see Teen Titans handled properly -- Mattel really effed that up -- despite giving us a few good Titans. And if McFarlane could do Legion -with a better proportion of female to male figures (instead of the lousy 1 to 11 that Mattel gave us), I'd be in for redos of the entire Legion. Honestly, these two franchises deserved a lot better than what they got.

I would think that stuff like Warlord and Creeper would be right up Todd's alley.

Instead of Clint being Ronin in the movie, I would be more tickled if he took the Pym Particles Wink

Indeed-- that's the kind of kick in the pants Marvel Lengends apparently requires to do a Clint Barton Goliath --- even if it was only a 7-inch BAF.

Same with Steve Rogers as Nomad. Would have liked to have seen something like that.

It's a movie Ronin.

Well, shit!

To be fair, I guess Citizen V is somewhat classic -- as this version of the character was introduced in the late 90s.

Ronin really looked dark -- nothing like the original version in New Avengers. Didn't even realize who or what he was until I got home. Easy pass.

But yeah, we should have gotten more classic team members in the myrial Avengers and Guardians waves.

She's perfect for Sersi.

No, she's not perfect for anything.  Angry

I'm not a big fan, but thought she was excellent in Magnificent.

Picked up Nighthawk last night. The wings on his cowl are only painted on, but I guess the cape ate up all of the production costs. The rest of that wave, however, is very meh. Okay, Hercules looks great, but I would have preferred an update on his classic look over the new duds. I've never seen this version of Living Laser, in a comic book but have to admit that it pops on the shelf.

The Skrull twist was poor.

I saw that coming way back when -- when Danvers said that the Kree were heroes.

Puma was in a group? I liked the era in which Puma was introduced -- I think Ron Frenz was the artist. But I'm pretty selective these days about what gets added to my collection.

Saw the cougar type villain of Spider-Man's on the shelf. Looked good, but just isn't a must have for my collection. I guess the same can be said of Cobra, but that figure was really stellar -- and I wouldn't mind assembling an Serpent Squad/Serpent Society. Of course, they've only done one female member of that group -- and it was Madame Hydra/Viper.

I'd probably go for Silver Sable -- she may show up eventually.

The Shazam movie figures look comparable to the other figures Mattel has been releasing -- adequate.

It was okay.

Haven't gone to see a Marvel film in the theatre since, Ant-Man (I) I think. Last superhero film I saw was Aquaman. I am a Carol Danvers fan, but I don't think Marvel has handled the character well in the time since she became Captain Marvel. And that has been quite evident with the number of times the publisher has rebooted her series.

I will guess that the general audience will judge this film less harshly than we comic book veterans. The story plays very fast and loose with comic book history -- going as far as gender bending Mar-Vell -- I guess in an attempt to make Danvers' evolution to hero not dependent on any male contributions. This is the part of the film that really irked me.

Another problem I had was the Skrulls -- especially Telo with his Australian accent. Aside from his appearance, everything else is so typically human. It just didn't work for me.

Larson is adequate. Her girl next door looks will probably win over a younger female audience. I would have preferred someone like Charlize Theron -- who has a commanding presence that I feel the role required. Coulson was unnecessary, but the younger version of Nick Fury did add some character dimension to the movie.

Jude Law was very interesting -- and had a great presence in his scenes. I'm not too familiar with Yon Rogg, but I don't think Law's version is evil. His role probably is close to that of comic book Mar-Vell's.

Danvers doesn't really bloom into her Captain Marvel -- or should I say -- Binary powers -- until near the end of the film. The credits call out Kelly Sue Deconnick and David Lopez (I think that's his name) as being instrumental to the film, but I feel it owed more to Chris Claremont and Dave Cockrum -- since her powers are clearly based on Danvers' time as Binary. Again, though, the general public will not be aware.

There has been much talk about the scene-stealing cat. I won't say too much about - but it does have some of the best moments in the film.

As the credits rolled, I still didn't comprehend why the film was set 20+ years in the past. I know what Marvel/Disney was trying to do, but it just felt so heavy-handed.

This is no Wonder Woman. It's fine as a female-led super hero story, but that's about it.
