1  The Collector's Life / The Originals - The AFB Customs Board / Poodle Moth 3D printed Superhero on: September 09, 2020, 08:06:46 pm
This is a figure I wanted to make for quite a while.  I always liked the idea of a superhero based on a Venezuelan poodle moth. I made a 4 inch version with basic 5 point articulation - technically 7 point since the wings can move a bit as well. I also made a 2.8 inch version that has better articulation since I thought it would be fun to take the figure outside and take pictures of it in nature. The figure is part of a larger line of superhero figures I made.
4 inch scale or 2.8 inch scale. Modelled in Modo. Printed on a Form2. Painted by me.

2  The Collector's Life / The Originals - The AFB Customs Board / 2020 3D printed action figure updates on: June 08, 2020, 07:02:33 pm
Here are a couple of new figures I made in recent months. The Androids and the army characters are updates on figures I made a couple of years ago when I had my first 3D printer. The original figures were all 6 inch scale and had a much rougher resolution. It is fun to see 2020 updates in 4 inch format.

I also made a 3D animation with the models.

I made some jetsleds for my 3D printed fossil formers action figures. They work in both the humanoid and the crab modes. They can also be used as shields. Sculpted and designed by me. To make more characters I added some new head sculpts as well.Creating new characters by just changing the heads keeps in line with the theme that these guys are supposed to look like a cheap knock-off line from the 80s.:-) 2.8 inch scale. Modeled in Modo. Printed on a Form2.

Here are some more figures for my fossil formers line. I tried to stay true to make this line look like some knock off line from the 80s. So I did a lot of parts sharing. Then new female versions of the horseshoe crab and trilobite use the same lower body then the male figures. Since 80s toys were known for their vehicles I also added a Mechsuit for the horseshoe crabs to fight in. I hope to do a vehicle for the trillobites at some point as well. Finally I added an evil overlord to the trilobites by making a new head for the male trilobite body. These figures were all done in 2.8 inch scale. Modeled in Modo. Printed on a Form2 with durable resin. Painted by me.

This is a line of figures I call Fossil-Formers. I love 80s toys and a lot of my figures are supposed to look like the could have been a cheap knock-off line of that time. In this case the figures are a mix of Transformers, Rock Lords and Sectaurs.
After a meteorite harboring an alien techno virus crashes on a far away planet its evolution takes a different turn. The animals in the ocean evolve into techno organic humanoids who maintain the ability to transform back into their original form. But war also finds this world. The evil Trilobites overthrow the peaceful kingdom of the Horseshoe Crabs devastating the planet's water resources in the process. Now in this barren new world a small group of freedom fighters continues to face the evil Trilobite Order. Will the discovery of ancient technology from before the war turn the battle?
I made 4 inch and 2.8 inch versions of the figures. Made in Modo. Printed on a Form2. Painted by me.

action figures, transformers, 3D printing, knock off toys, custom toys,

Here are some more figures from the line. I made a 70% smaller version of the main hero and a male version of the police officer.

Looking good!

Thank you!
10  The Collector's Life / The Originals - The AFB Customs Board / 3D printed original superheroes on: May 12, 2019, 04:46:59 pm
I recently updated an old line of 3D printed super hero figures. Previously most of them were only printed on my old Mojo printer in 5.5 inch scale. Now they are printed on the Form2 in 4 inch scale. The biggest change on the figures themselves are the proportions of the main hero. While before he had a more chubby sofubi style appearance he now looks more dynamic with a classic v-shaped hero torso.

I also made a super articulated version of that character. It fits in well with the usual 5 point figures of the line. Included is also a comparison with previous versions of that character.

11  The Collector's Life / The Originals - The AFB Customs Board / Re: The Warsnail - 3D printed figure on: February 06, 2019, 03:43:13 pm

I am now offering the Form2 files of my Legend of the Warsnail figure line for free non-commercial use. You can download them from http://www.hauke-scheer.de/samples.html
Please make sure to read the license and safety instructions before using the files. Also please do not ask for STLs. I do not plan to release the figures in any other way then the .form format any time soon. Have fun printing!
12  The Collector's Life / The Originals - The AFB Customs Board / 3D Printed Bionic Bjoern Scout on: December 30, 2018, 07:01:42 pm
3D Printed Bionic Bjoern Scout
This is a variation of my previous Bionic Bjoern figure. This one has transforming bionic feet that become wheels. He also has 2 human arms, a helmet and a new shoulder mounted minigun.
The scouts trade firepower for mobility. Their mission is to find survivors of the zombie apocalypse and escort them safely to the remaining human outposts. They are also used to patrol the remaining highways between the outposts.

13  The Collector's Life / The Originals - The AFB Customs Board / 3D Printed Bionic Bjoern Cyborg Action Figure on: November 27, 2018, 11:32:00 am
This is an older character I updated for 3D printing. What I like about this figure is that it fits into a lot of other 3 3/4 inch action figure lines. Printed on a Form2 printer with durable resin. Hand painted by me.
I also gave the figure a new backstory:
In the year 2025 the world is overrun by zombies. Mankind's only hope lies with a secret Canadian military program: The Bionic Bjoerns. These cybernetic clone warriors made from Viking DNA are sent all across the globe to rescue scattered non infected humans and eradicate the zombie thread.

So much fun!!  applause.gif
You are an artist with that printer.

Thank you. I am taking a break with that line until spring when the weather is good enough again to take pictures outside. In the meantime I will work on some other fun stuff. :-)
15  The Collector's Life / The Originals - The AFB Customs Board / 3D printed Bug Queen on: November 04, 2018, 01:56:37 pm
The final figure for Series One of the Legend of the Warsnail line. Its the evil Bug Queen. A mighty sorceress who wants to steal the magic of the forest to create her own evil empire. The model is based on the original bug solider 3D models done in Softimage. But I had to do some serious remodeling in Modo to create this new character. Printed on a Form2 printer. The model was painted by me.

Here is the complete Series One of the Legend of the Warsnail line of figures. There is also a website with more information about the world of the Warsnail. Legend of the Warsnail Action Figure Line
