With so many of us falling into the Hot Toys trap i though we should have an official Thread where we can discuss, ogle and lament as we watch our life savings ebb away as new and exciting Sixth Scale Dollies are solicited.

So,first off the rank, has anyone seen this one yet?

Very nice indeed,89 Batman brought a lot of new Fans and rekindled the love of the Bat for many old Fans.Personally i'm not sure if i want to add this to my collection or not. Will have to mull it over for a bit. think.gif

Second Post as well. Grin

I was looking at the Shadow Predator that FMS has ordered and i liked him a hell of a lot but not quite enough to pull the trigger myself. Then HT just had to go and solicit the Classic Predator, not exactly accurate to the original Pred that hunted ol' Arnie and his muscly mates through the jungle but close enough. And that's the look that i,as i'm sure many others, were blown away by back in the day.Anyways, long story short,i could fit him into my budget so i pre-ordered him.Gods help me!

Great idea FB - I am definitely about to fall into the Hot Toys pit myself!!

I'm mulling over the Keaton Batman. It's pretty amazing looking.

One thing that's putting me off the Keaton Batman is that the 1989 Joker headsculpt just isn't quite grabbing me:

Yeah,i don't have a problem with the Headsculpt at all and i enjoyed Nicholson's portrayal but i just don't feel compelled to own this piece.

Good idea FB! What I need is a constant reminder of the awesome stuff this company is putting out  Cheesy

I've said before I'm not a fan of movie incarnations of characters, but that Keaton Batman is beautiful. Still my favourite (if I must pick) Batman movie costume.

That "Classic" Predator is the one from the "Predators" film that Adrien Bordy teamed up with, rather than the one from the Arnie film (which is nicknamed "Jungle Hunter").

....and yes, I ordered that Predator too

Yep,i knew he was from Predators. What i was trying to say above in my own weird way was that to me he was the closest nod i could see to the original Predator that i'll ever get the chance to own.Have you seen how much the original HT Pred goes for on the rare occasions they pop up?That's some scary shit!
Plus he's just gonna look awesome posed with my Berserker. rock.gif

That'll be it for me on those guys though.Still really unsure about whether i really want Keaton Bats or not.Nostalgia verses need is a tough call.

I've looked at some of the early Hot Toys ones and I'm really not sold on the sculpts compared to the new ones we've mentioned here. I'd really like the Elder Predator from Predator 2 but I'm not paying $1000 for one.

Yep the early ones command huge money but the sculpts have definitely improved over time. The Elder is one of the best although i dug the Cleaner Pred too.
I truly thought i'd never have the opportunity to own a Pred like the classic, hooray for HT! yess.gif

Gah! I wish Fox would issue a definitive name for each Predator. NECA and Hot Toys are on two different pages. One using "Cleaner' and the other using "Wolf".
