I haven't even finished my first custom, but I had an idea for another project.

Do you think I could turn this:

Into this?:

And if I do, will I ever be able to make a Sir Justin to go with it???

What am I thinking???  thud.gif

There's a whole thread over at the 'Mess as Rod and Wilma are talking about giving it a go. Personally the horse is a bit too 'cute' for me. A LOTR horse is a little better looking but would need wings.

I vote you give it a go so we can see how it turns out  Grin

Definitely do-able methinks.Get rid of that poxy Unicorn thing on it's head, rework the Saddle and Bridle, add the extra Horsey curtain things[have no idea what they're called]and you're on your way. Then just a repaint.

As for Sir Justin i had the same idea as13.Cobra would be a perfect base.

I think the unicorn horn is part of the removable headpiece.

The main issues I see are going to be working out what to use for Winged Victory's gear - thinking it will have to be fabric - and how to introduce some shading so that it doesn't look too bright white.

Can't do much until I get it in hand to see what needs to be done. Will think about bases for Shining Knight.

A Figure that size would be a most suitable candidate for Airbrushing.Once you get it we can make it a bit of a group project and help you through it.

Go for it, friend. I can't wait to see what you accomplish with this.

With the death of the DCUC line, replaced by an "All-Star" line that is so far anything but, I will never see my dreamt-of Seven Soldiers of Victory themed wave with Winged Victory C&C figure..... Cry

Is the horsey curtain thing called barding? That's possibly one of the few things I've learnt from laying Warhammer as a teenager.

Other than that, I have nothing useful to add to this discussion, other than, go, Andy, go!
