I remember having the SP Batmobile in my hands at the shop and not being allowed to have it. Sob.

Well, I started with Star Wars figures. I still have a heap of vintage ones.
I nearly have a complete MOTU collection minus most vehicles and playsets. I also had a heap of Smurfs when they were sold at BP service stations in Oz.

That thing is awesome! Mine's well loved (as are all our SP figures), but still appreciated. Lex's Jet was equally cool, but the Sups plane made no sense.

I remember having the SP Batmobile in my hands at the shop and not being allowed to have it. Sob I had a similar experience with the Hall of Justice, I had it in my hands and was walking to the cashier - unfortunately I had neglected to tell my parents about this and they caught me before I could make it to the check-out. On the bright side, I did end up with a SP Batman that day

Heh! Me too. Were they made by Schleich back then? I see them in TRU now. Still cranking them out.

Also, you could start this in the Toys I Grew Up With thread as it is kinda dedicated to this type of thing. Yeah but TIGUW is mainly just you posting and only includes what you've had a chance to review to date out of what you love. Remember playing with that Batmobile as a kid- it's arguably the best Batmobile ever . In terms of my stuff, it's pretty much- C.O.P.S. Captain Power Centurions Defenders of the Earth GI JOE (just getting into it) M.A.S.K. M.O.T.U. (just getting into it) Neverending Story Robotech Transformers Visionaries On that note, I probably should show this WIP: Definitely plenty of crossovers here- now to decide what to start topics on heh.

Tyroc and I once worked out that to build a GI Joe scale aircraft carrier it would be 17 metres long.

Damn I want that. Had it at as a kid; but the mother threw it out during one of her cleaning raids. What did they make for Neverending Story? Can't recall seeing figures for it.

I have far too many but you know what they say he who has the most toys still dies!
But when he dies all his collector friends say he was the winner. And then they get drunk and break in his house and steal everything from the widow. It's all in the contract you sign when you start collecting toys.
