Pretty good morning for a drive.  Had a productive trip out to Baton Rouge.  Found these at the BR TRU.

And from the Target on Siegen Lane:

Jeez, I'd be thrilled to see any of those lines on the shelves here. Nice effort Raj!

Some superhero goodies arrived today from Mike'S!  Relaunched ML wave 1 Extremis Iron Man and wave 2 Captain America.  Both figures are pretty awesome.  As usual with Iron Man figures released the last several years, I wish he was larger.  As streamlined as the armor may be, it's still a grown man in a high-powered suit of armor.  Outside of that, he's pretty much perfect.  Very poseable, thanks to his ab joint.  Great range of motion on both figures' heads.  Bucky comes with Cap's trademark shield, as well as a pistol and knife.  They've got me wanting to get Thor next time I see him on the pegs.

Soranik Natu is sculpted very nicely, probably a re-use.  Pretty much standard at this point from every company.  She does have cut joints at the top of the boots, which is a good touch.  The only thing not to like is the painted on collar.

I quite like the Natu fig. Might have to start pilfering some DCD figs to bulk up the DCUC

I hate being impatient.  After getting outbid on another set of the Terrax parts that come with Hope Summers, I went to TRU today and saw that they restocked another variant case of MLs.  Grabbed Captain Stevie and reluctantly picked up Hope since it doesn't appear that Walmart or Target will get these soon, and it'll be a while before I can get BAF parts for less than retail for the full figure with the parts.  So yay.

My 2/15 order from Matty finally arrived today.  More awesome MOTUC goodness.  Fisto comes pretty close to being my favorite figure of the line, but his strange right bicep piece holds him back from that honor.  Everything else is top notch.  Extra head, belt, and giant buster sword makes his $22 price tag a good value.  I haven't bought every figure in the Classics line, so I don't know if his right bicep is reused from someone else, but it's new to me.  Not as round, more veiny, and more defined than his left arm, it's a little distracting.  Maybe it's a natural effect of using that GIANT fist all the time, but it looks strange.

The sculpt on the The Sorceress is very nice, too.  Her shoulder articluation is limited because of how the wings are constructed, but she's not exactly the type to get in the field and get involved in the battles directly, so it's somewhat forgiveable.  The wings look great when posed and in a more relaxed position.  Her staff is all one color, shiny silver, and looks good.  Also included is her falcon form and a stand for her to perch on.  Pretty much the same bird we've seen a few times from Matty, but she's armed for battle.  Nice and necessary extra.

Two nice looking figures there Raj.

I agree, the right bicep is probably bigger as a representation of hefting that metal hand around.

Can you do my a favor BigRaj and take some more pictures of the larger sword and can anyone tell me if this will work with the old 200X line? Somewhere I have a custom, resin sword that I never got around to painting. Wonder if Spymagician's team made one already? I love figures like these, but just can't pull the trigger for some reason. I think it is the shipping that just kills it for me. Thank you for posting your haul.

The MOTUC Roboto that I won on eBay arrived today.  Nice to have an upgraded version of another childhood favorite.  Glad to see the gears do turn when you move his torso.  The different hands take a little muscle to switch out.  I'm a little concerned that may lead to breakage, so I won't be swapping hands out too often.  Not much in the way of paint, but it's a mostly solid job.  There's a nice wash on the red parts of the legs, but the darker highlights on the grey areas is a little overdone, especially the thigh parts.  A little disappointing for the price.  Overall, a very good figure, but the slight paint issue keeps him (at least the figure I have) from being great.

I've mentioned before that I used to use my MOTU and other similar sized figures as a wrestling federation as a kid.  Here was the dominant tag-team back then:

Pretty much modelled them after The Road Warriors, although by the end of time I was playing with them, I'd mixed in a good bit of Steiner Brothers influence.

Sorry I didn't see your post, Donster.  Here's some more pics of that sword:

Never did get any of the 200X figures/stactions, so I've no idea if it'll work with that figure.
