I thought I posted this here, but I am mistaken.  Battleground Evil-Lyn arrived a couple days ago, and I'm damned glad to have her.  Much better looking, IMO, than the original version that was released.  Nice to have a female villain from this line.  Beautiful sculpt and the only paint flaw I see is a scuff on the left boot.  Swappable heads, swappable orbs for the staff, a removable cape, and a nice dagger are the accessories she comes with, and that always helps at the price point.  Of course, she was part of the recent Matty sale, so she was a few dollars cheaper than the current MOTUC rate.

They really get good use out of that Female MOTU Buck but it doesn't matter at all. They all look great and unique, good score.I like the Head with the Helmet better, the bare head looks a bit like that Woman out of 101 Dalmations.

That's who she reminded me of!  I couldn't quite place it, so thank you for that. Thumbs Up

There may be something wrong with me, but Evil Lynn was hotter when she was yellow skinned.

I actually stopped by the LCS today and bought some stuff.  Picked up the 2 issues of Walking Dead in my folder, the first 2 issues of the new Conan the Barbarian series, and the Annihilators trade (10 bucks) by Abnett & Lanning.  While my debit card was being processed, I spotted the DCD Arkiss Chummuck figure on sale for 9 bucks.  I bring that to the register, and Teresa asks if I had cash so she wouldn't have to run the card again.  I only had 7 bucks on me and she said that was good.  Me am happy.  Not with the figure, as I hate that wide stance, but I can stick his head on a spare Mattel GL figure and it's always nice to get a bit of a bargain.

After a quick head swap, I think he looks great.  The gray-haired Hal body looks like a match with his mask.

The Ringside Collectibles exclusive Bret Hart, based loosely on his look from the '93 Royal Rumble, arrived today.  For the most part, he's great, although Matty didn't get all the details right.  The worst offense, of course, is the GIANT knee pads they insist on using.  On this Hart figure, it's pretty inexcusable.  Bret wasn't wearing these Jack Swagger sleeves on his knees, he was wearing the same sized smaller pads as he wore throughout his career.  There's no reason for Mattel not to use a pink set of the smaller pads they already have on hand.  Using much smaller knee pads would have given them that all-important budget space to include the elbow pads he was wearing for the event.  I don't think he could wear the elbow pads under the jacket he's wearing in the package, but they could have packed in.  Outside of the pad issue, the only other thing that might be a turnoff is the stiff plastic used for the jacket.  It looks really good, but renders his arms and upper body pretty immobile when wearing it, so you can't get his traditional pre-match pose with Bret exposing his shoulders while showing off his WWF championship title belt . . . Oh yeah, he doesn't have one of those, either.  Thankfully I have a couple of those things around for posing.  The sculpt is same as the Defining Moments Bret, meaning it's pretty awesome.  The paint work is very well done on the jacket and tights.  Bottom line, it's a great figure of Bret Hart, one of my all-time favorite performers, with a few flaws.  Not sure I'd want to pay this much (around $34 with discount and shipping) for another Bret with the same flaws, so I hope this is the last exclusive Hart figure.
