Yep, me too. Very clean lines my friend.
There is something so simplistically beautiful about that costume. Well done mate!

I'm so happy it turned out the way it did, because there were a lot of tears that went in to it. Until that spray of dullcote went on, I really wasn't sure how happy I was going to be with it.

THAT....IS....PERFECT!
Wow! There is nothing there that says that figure is a custom. The paint is flawless and everything just pops. Well done bud!

It's a big enough umbrella, but it's always me that ends up getting wet...

Modified Guardian head Firestorm torso and shoulders, with much scraping, sanding, filling Booster Gold arms, scraped and sanded Superman legs
I was just trying to use whatever I had lying around at the time, which is why the Booster Gold arms. Wish I'd been skilful enough at the time of the frankensteining to replace the shoulders, but happy with the outcome.

Are the chest emblems painted or decals?

Painted. I painted yellow underneath, and then masked off the precise shape before spraying the dark blue over the top. Very bitsy work anyway you look at it.

Bit of a proof of concept I've been working on/putting off for ages now. Never really been happy with the "silver" Silver Surfer figures that get released, not being "comic accurate", in old school terms: Can't really see the Tamiya pearl white in action here, but you get the picture: I like it, but might try the Folk Art pearl white next time.
