R2D2 is on the way. Maul is a really great figure. I like Luke but I am going to be very selective in this line so I will wait for a black attire Luke. Same thing with the Sand Trooper even though it might be the best of the first four.

I'm holding off on Luke as well, at least until the Bespin version comes out in Wave 3.  It's hard to guage whether or not this line will last long enough to get four or five different incarnations of Luke, but based on the initial reception, I'm thinking it should have a pretty nice run.   This is especially fun for me as I have always passed on the traditional 3.5" SW figs.

I did pick up the other three though.  I love Imperial Troopers too much to pass on the Sandtrooper.  In fact, I may pick up another one if I run across it at retail.

I got R2 in the mail today from TRU. Very cool. Tough to pay $20 for an R2 figure, but they loaded him with accessories to try and make it premium. I will have more thoughts when I get it out of the package.

I collected the old smaller line like I am this one. Cherry pick the best versions of the main characters. I'll get Ben, Luke, Han, Chewie, and C3PO and if I can find a great Leia, her too. I have hated all of her smaller figures, and judging by that Slave Leia, they may have a tough time with this scale too. Oh and Darth, a few Storm Troopers (if possible) and Palpatine. And Boba Fett.

Anyway, after holding out I broke down and got the first wave at retail, subsequent waves on order from MikeS.  My Star Warsian is a bit rusty, but is Luke sporting a DL-44?  Did he ever do that?

Wave 3

Anakin is rumored to be the 4th figure, but no pics yet that I know of. Also it looks like they skimped on the paint detail in the hair compared to Wave 1 Luke. I have an extra pilot Luke for a headswap, but I might have to break out the brushes on Kenobi. People are bitching about the inaccuracies of the Stormtrooper helmet, but it looks like a fucking Stormtrooper to me.
