Given how much editorial interference there is from Editors nowadays, Slott managed to dig his out from under it to write some great Spidey stories.

Yea, I like his Spidey stuff that I've read. I'll give his FF a shot. His run on Thing about ten years back was great. I was having flashbacks to Two-in-One & then they pulled the plug. gah.gif

Can anyone recommend a good site for comic book news?  I was a fan of newsarama and then started reading cbr but they just aren’t doing it for me. Any good ones out there?

I don't know that any better ones exist. They both seem to have direct pipelines to confirmed news. I do tire of Newsarama's countless top 10 lists. Also don't like that CBR removed comments from their articles.

So what is everyone's take on Aaron/McG Avengers? I picked up first two issues-- only glanced through #1. I'm kinda meh on it. McG has always come across as junk food art -- it's appealing at first, but kinda empty afterward. Not fond of the pre-Historic Avengers idea at all!

Thanks, I feel the same way about the top ten lists. I like keeping up with comics news but the articles on cbr and newsarama just aren’t that enjoyable anymore.

I get sick of excessive top ten and top twenty lists, and all the clickbait.

I agree with you. I imagine it is tough for comic book websites to make money without the clickbait.  However, if you are only putting out comic news for the money, you’re probably in the wrong business.

I pretty much stick exclusively to Bleeding Cool now. Gave up on the others a while ago.

btw,imo I thought spider man 800 was pure crap. It seems like every big anniversary he has to have "fight to end all fights" with the goblin. And the big death in it didn't move me a bit,I'm becoming cold as I approach a half century in age lol.

Comics are never going to make the way they made you feel as a kid -- or college student. Nostalgia will only get you so far.

I'm looking forward to a change in ASM.

Really?  Because it worked so well for the Avengers?  Because they need a reboot for the movie side?  Because recycled ideas work so well in general?
