btw, immortal hulk is pretty damn good imo so far.the latest issue they did something with Sasquatch and I was like whoa.

Agreed. This is great stuff. Ewing is writing a genuinely creepy book and Bennett's art suits it perfectly.

Really?  Because it worked so well for the Avengers?  Because they need a reboot for the movie side?  Because recycled ideas work so well in general?

It'll be earth-shattering. It says so right there in the description. Nothing will ever be the same again. This is a major turning point......get one of the 45 variant covers from your local store now!

Anybody think there will be a new Squadron Supreme title spinning out of Avengers # 700?

Maybe a limited series. Ongoings for this type of team always crash and burn. To be honest, I'd rather see another Winter Guard -- even though I love classic Squadron Supreme.

I was quite surprised to see the Squadron turn up in Avengers #700, especially the "classic" Hyperion. What happened to the black and gold one pimped in Avengers by Hickman?
I wonder if this is some kind of Thunderbolts type schtick and they'll turn out to be impostors.

I wish. But it needs to be someone like Kurt Busiek who can untangle the crap and just give us Roy Thomas Squadron.

Let's also hope the Winter Guard can stay together for more than an issue or two before someone disassembles them. I miss the old Vanguard and Red Guardian.

I think the Squadron Supreme is destined to be a new interpretation every story at this point.  With so much out there nothing ever stuck as definitive in the collective consciousness.

I agree Chooch. Vanguard should be in his gladiator outfit (as designed by Dave Cockrum) and Red Guardian should be called Red Guardian. There is no good reason for Vanguard to be in that getup.

I don't know why, but I'm hoping for at least a Squadron Supreme mini.  There's something really cool to me about 'knock-offs'.

Immortal Hulk is my favourite comic right now. Al Ewing is doing a great job!

Thanks for heads up. Didn't even realize that one-shot existed.
