The collection is now up to 5.  Been getting good deals on what I've gotten so far.  Combined shipping really helps.  Now I have Giant Man, Wasp (retro costume), U.S.Agent, Namor and Angel.

Was anything new shown at sdcc?   Seems like I started collecting and the line has died.

Bowen doesn't do SDCC or Toyfair.

At any rate, there's no new product currently as they are in negotiations with Marvel for their license renewal. There are often gaps in their "phases" - but this one seems rather protracted.

I sure hope Marvel isn't dumb enough to fuck up a line this good.

If I had a boatload of cash (like some English/Australian collectors/podcasters) have, I would buy the Hell out of this line. To date, I just have two busts -- Havok and Polaris. Then again, I'd need to either get a bigger storage bin -- or more likely, a showroom.

I don't recall the gap between contacts ever being so long. It's scary, because Bowen is one of the few places where you can expect to get the classic version of a character -- even though they do new versions as well. But you're never gonna see some johnny or jane come lately like Hope Summers from Bowen. They have more sense than that.

Not I.

I have to settle for Scotty's castoffs and even then it's not without the additional backrubs ,etc.

The mini-busts are a gateway drug, you'll be buying statues before too long!

If I ever go down that (dark and lonely) road, it will be for Neal Adams era X-Men -- including Havok and Lorna, naturally. I could probably live without Prof. X, though.

If the contract is renewed, would be nice to see full-size versions of the Hellstrom siblings (you know -- Son of 'some dude claiming to be the Fallen Angel, but he's really just some schmuck demon on an ego trip).

I don't like Bowen's Prof. X bust. I went with the Diamond Select version for my collection. It features Xavier wearing his Cerebro helmet and some "mental effects". Not too expensive, either.

did you really believe I was gonna be able to stick with just the Avengers.  Five more and this subset is done.  Scott is already on the way.
