I don't collect statues nor have I ever heard of XM Studios.  But these were obviously premium format products.  Ike has gone over the edge IMHO.  I hope the studio and their workforce were compensated in some way.  Some sort of kill fee at least.

This is pretty shitty. XM are based in Singapore and were doing some pretty kickass 1/4 and 1/6 scale statues. They were close to soliciting their 1/4 scale Cable piece.

They were also working on a massive 1/6 scale X-Men vs Sentinel diorama.

Fucking billionaire tantrums.

Seriously silly. XM is a boutique company producing high end items  - only hurting the little guys and the (really cashed up) collectors there.  Thumbs Down

Disnery/ marvel wants the properties back....until it does i suspect the support for any non marvel owned series will see next to no support or be allowed any official support. It could be a good  thing since lesser knowns, ie gotg, hellcat, maybe even coldblood, might get their moment to be in the spotlight. Westcoast avengers movie anyone?
I mean if an absolute zero like jewel can get a series, a cyborg ( coldblood ) can get a lil love. Cool

If there are any small mercies to be had it's that we won't keep getting fucking Wolverine figures in MarveL Legends. Here's to more Asgardians and cosmic characters.

Hey, they can just sub Fang of the Imperial Guard -- I'd love that figure -- basically Lon Chaney Werewolf in a Cocrkum leotard.

But as I stated in the other thread, these items are in no way supporting the film, so only XM and the collectors are hurt by this piss poor decision.

That's right. It's the fan that feel the pain.

The XM is decision is pretty public, but you just know that Hasbro, etc, have been told the exact same thing.

I also suspect this is one of the many factors in the Bowen contract renewal delay.

True.  I just checked the upcoming ML releases.  Only figure even close to FF or X-Men is Thundra.  Before that, it was the Toys R Us exclusive classic X-Men box set and the X-men Infinite wave which was also TrU exclusive.  Plus Black Bolt, Medusa, and Blastarr in the SDCC box set.  All last year.

But aren't the Inhumans under Disney's control -- thus the film that's being developed?

Yeah, they are.  But I'm not sure why.  If Silver Surfer and Galactus are considered FF characters and the Inhumans aren't, then obviously, we aren't privaleged to the criteria.

I was just saying (in a roundabout way), I wouldn't look for any more X-Men or FF ML figures for a while.  Except for the fact that we don't know exactly what a FF character is.  Kree is not included but Skrulls are?  Silver Surfer is but Inhumans are not?  It's a puzzle.

We've (my buddies an I) have long wondered and speculated on what constitutes an FF or X-Men character for Fox.

There must be a list of characters included with the license that must leave out characters like Black Panther, Ronan and the Inhumans. Or perhaps it costs X for the FF license and to get those others, you'd need to also pay Y for a separate license.

Yeah, I've wondered about Ronan.  Clearly an FF villain yet shows up as the main bad guy in the GotG movie.  I'm pretty sure characters like Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch, and Black Panther are exempted because of long time ties to the Avengers.

Quicksilver didn't seem to be exempt. In fact he's the reason Ike's got his panties in a bunch. Honestly, what Fox did seems to have been a dick move, so I can personally understand holding a grudge.

Fox just seems intent on making the franchises utterly unrecognizable as if to say "hahaha look what we are gonna do."

At least sony realized after their two unamazing spider-letdowns that it'd be a wiser move to partner up with marvel....fox had yet to pull their proverbial head from the sand.
