Here are some simple 5 point articulation super hero action figures I recently made. The super hero guys are all owl themed. Then there is a deluxe police figure with two heads, poseable tonfas and a one wheeled scooter. I have two villains so far. The main bad guy is based on a rooster while the other one is a simple goon type figure. Although limited in articulation I still was able to get some fun poses out of them. All figures were 3D printed and painted by me.

Sweet, I really like these. I think you have done a really good job particularly with the faces.

Thanks. I am quite happy with the faces as well. Especially the police figure.

I recently started using acetone to smooth my  3D printed figures. Here are some examples from the super hero line. It works quite well for these models. In some caes I used the reprint to slighlty update the designs as well.

I also wanted to see how easily I could give my 5 point articulated figure a modern articulation without compromising the original design too much. So I made one of the main hero character. I am quite happy with the result. I especially like that the body segments move as if the owl would move its head and body.

I love the owl people! Are they going to be up for sale?

Thanks! If someone really wants them I would gladly print one for sale. However since 3D printing is still expensive so would be the figure.

Wow.  Creative stuff there.  Very good looking, and I love the added articulation in that last pic.  Great work.

Thanks! I may make some more super articulated versions in the future. But first I still have to reprint the robber and the rooster to make smoother versions of them.

This gets me really excited about the future.  What can be done already is amazing!

The Owl/chest articulation is brilliant.

Thanks again everyone. I am painting two more figures that needed updating with acetone at the moment. Once they are finished I will post them and hopefully work on some new designs as well.

Here are some updates. I finished making smooth versions of all the characters now. I also slightly modified some of them. Last but not least I made a new character, the bombing squirrel.

Wow.  Those are really, really cool.  I can't stop looking at them!

It won't be anytime soon, but I think this will be how I will eventually get some of the figures I want.  True, they will probably just be posed figurines with no articulation, and possibly unpainted, but I'm OK with that.
