I don't need huge spectacles either.

My favourite bits are the ones where you feel like the comic has come to life. When the filmmakers get it.
Like at the beginning of Civil War when Cap goes through the window and hurls his shield with precision and it bounces off baddies and the walls and he catches it like it's no big deal. It feels so right.

Makes sense to me, FISH.   rock.gif

I had an orgasm when ANT MAN shrunk down and took a ride on one of HAWKEYE's arrows.

Yup!

The definitive Marvel comic moment on film is still Spidey fighting Sandman in the back of the armoured car. It felt like it jumped right out of a 70s comic.

Well that was something.

It really concerns me the number of people going on about the "deaths" in the film. As if they are somehow permanent. People are weird.

The only thing I didn't like about this is the foreshadowing of characters fates based on the actors not wanting to renew their contracts.

Actually the "deaths" were all the folks that still have a future in the MCU.  They pretty much just left the originals for Avengers 4.  A friend pointed that out to me.  It makes sense, it'll be their swan song so give them a whole movie.  I do wonder if the folks that died pre-snapping will stay dead though.  Idris Elba and Tom Hiddleston certainly have potential to break out away from the MCU.

The theory that Clint goes off the deep end because his family is killed (like in the Ultimates) is now way more plausible.  He sees them vanish in dust and goes nuts.

I liked it (once again) more the second time I saw it.  The first time through it didn't feel quite as cohesive, but I think that was a lot of me trying to keep up.

Good points Chooch.

I'm curious how they can do the whole Bucky/Falcon as Cap when that removes either Bucky or Cap from future films.
Same goes for War Machine as Iron Man. Rhodey kicked some ass in the Wakandan battle.

Given how woefully underpowered the supposedly technology superior Wakandan people are when being invaded by aliens, I'm not sure why they chose to leave the Hulk out? he could have been the force that kept their heads above water until Thor arrived (and boy did he!! Woohoo!)

What a spectacle. Really, really loved it. My 17 y.o. was very put out by all the deaths. I tried to explain that in comics this kinda stuff happens all the time and they come back, but she is still sour. Wink

Standout performances for me were Zoe Saldana, Tom Holland, and, unexpectedly, Josh Brolin.

And I may very well have to break my no movie figures rule for a SH Figuarts Iron Spidey.

Loved it!

Absolutely loved it!  Definitely the big screen version I've wanted since Thanos was brought back in 1990.  Very cool to see a couple of panels basically come to life during the big fight, even though it happened to different characters (Drax turned into blocks and Mantis becoming all rubbery), and another brutal death for Vision.  Loved all the ego clashing (Starlord/Thor, Starlord/Tony, Tony/Strange), and was surprised to enjoy Hulk being scared to face Thanos again.

Any theories on HULK other than "I just got my ass handed to me and I'm scared"?  I mean....Hulk wasn't even afraid of Surtur.

Mrs MAGNET thinks Banner is still very messed up from being HULK for 2 full years, as was stated in Ragnarok.

I haven't taken a bathroom break at a movie in literally decades....until Infinity War. I missed Thor getting his new eye from 'Rabbit'.
