I don’t have any other Mythic Legions, but that Battle Cat is pretty sweet.

I would have thought it would be at least 80 bucks.  A good portion of the ORG is up in arms about Stridor's helmet, but some are OK with it.

I saw someone mention that if we got them in reverse, we’d be ok with this. That we’d accept this as the 4H’s Stridor helmet and when Night Stalker got a purple repaint, we just would’ve enjoyed it as a bonus.

Of course someone on Fwoosh said Brian from S7 hinted that there may still be a purely vintage helmet as well.

I sat there at the 11th hour this morning with that damn horse in my cart wondering if it was worth $75 shipped to me. In the end I pulled the trigger, telling myself it’ll likely be a bitch to get later and after this and Karg, I’m done with the line. But I still hate putting up all that money for something that isn’t shipping for so long.

Of course it says it’s still available for order, so who knows when they’ll actually cut it off.

Think of it this way, though BW....now you're completely done.  You NEVER have to worry about the annoyance of this crazy, infuriating, too damned expensive line again.  And the horse will probably be like....200 bucks on eBay.

That’s exactly my thinking.

I’ll eventually track down Tytus and maybe some vehicles, but nothing new.

Unless they somehow crank out a Mantisaur

Super 7 revealed their SDCC exclusive of a silly Prince Adam with a laughing face inspired by the video of What’s Going On mashed up with old MOTU clips. Is a silly, charming, nonessential figure that’s great as an exclusive.

Naturally the fine folks at Se-man.org have lost their fucking minds proclaiming that their collections are useless unless they can get this, personally emailing S7 for more info, paying $150 on eBay for an nonguaranteed pre-order, calling the figure homophobic, saying that it completely destroys the public perception of the MOTU franchise, and everything in between.

Yep.  I've absolutely been following this insanity.

Apparently, some people have never realized that not everybody takes MOTU as seriously as they do.  Hahaha!!

Stridor randomly arrived today. Zero notification he'd shipped or was in stock.

He’s what you’d expect. Would a bit shinier be cool? Yeah. But he’s nice overall and I’m very glad to have him.

Thing and Mikey were all I had on my coffee table. They’re the duo I never knew I needed.

BW, please start making a stop-motion animation movie with your toys.  I want the FANTASTIC FOUR, Ninja Turtles, and MOTU to come together!  The FF and the dimension hopping Turtles should have no problem getting to Eternia.

Got Karg today and opened what may be my final MOTUC figure ever. Not for any bad reason, but I really feel like they’ve made everyone I want. Unless they come up with another really cool original character, that’s it. It’s finally over.

It’s been a tumultuous several years of collecting this line and dealing with all the drama around it and the brand managers who produced it, especially for a franchise I’m not even all that close to, but how often can you say a collection is truly “done”? It’s pretty cool and there’s a lot of really great figures that got made.

I gave up when Mattel did.  Some of the figures do look fun though.  Karg kind of looks like ghosted-out Vigo from Ghostbusters 2.
