Alright, I got bunches of little bits of stuff lying around in my office area. Accessories and weapons from a number of figures, playsets, etc. I thought I'd share the joy with everybody and start a new feature, "Name That..."

Basically, I'm going to post a picture of a little artifact. Readers post comments and guess what it is and where it came from. If all goes well this will be a weekly thing for a while. I'll tell people if they are right or wrong and will probably post hints if it takes awhile.

To start off it's "I can't quite place the face"

http://tvandfilmtoys.com/index.php/2009/09/i-cant-quite-place-the-face/

Enjoy! (No, there's not prizes, just nerd bragging rights for now. If it catches on maybe...)

(I'd forgot to post this earlier here, so you guys even get a hint in the comments section.)

Hmmm. Seems hints might be needed.

Mid to Late ’90s. The mono chromatic molding of accessories was a trade mark of the extensive line of figures this gift comes from.

Playmates used to make the accessories in all the same color.  I know that Star Trek and TMNT in particular were.

This is a really cool idea and I will definitely be following it. As for the first one - I have absolutely no clue!  Cheesy

Stumped. Of course, around this time I was more interested in x-men figs, so I'm fairly confident that they're out.

Well if it is Star Trek it looks like it would be from Deep Space Nine for some reason.

Hmmm. Not DS9. But, the face itself is a PRINCIPAL DS9 actor. Barring that, he would be hard to recognize here with his make up.

Odd clue.  Not a DS9 figure does not mean that it was not a Star Trek figure, or it could be a DS9 actor that appeared on TMNT

The rest of the clue, “he would be hard to recognize here with his make up” seems to indicate he was in makeup on DS9 and I have the following suspects.

Rene Auberjonois was Odo
Armin Shimerman was Quark
Michael Dorn was Worf
Mark Allen Shepherd was Morn

While some of them have done other voice over work, even some on Batman, Superman and Justice League I did not see any with a TMNT connection.

I'd say it's a Michael Dorn face cast?

It does look more like Dorn than the others, but I did not see it with any ST Worf figure when I checked.

I will straight up tell you it isn't Worf. And Rene Auberjonois never guested on TNG. And Morn, well, I wouldn't consider him a Principal actor. Figuring out who it is will only get you half way there.

So is it a Talking Gift Box that came with Lwaxanna Troi from Star Trek The Next Generation, Asst# 6950, SKU# 6067.  Playmates 1995?

I have that figure but for some reason I do not display the box with it.  I display the Crystal Gong and Intergalactic Suitcase with her.
