I'm going to boil off Emma's head tomorrow. I still don't know what head I'm replacing it with, though....

I boil the kettle, tip the boiling water in a mug, upend the figure in the mug for 3-4 minutes, then give it a heave. Be careful though as the figure can get hot (obviously)

The good news: I've applied colours three and four on my figure!

The bad news: The figure needs 10 colour apps...

10??  thud.gif

Maybe why no one ever produced the figure?

It doesn't help that I'm colourblind.

Well, complete change of plans. I was struggling to find a head that was going to work on the Emma body and then got a flash about an entirely different character which I've got all the parts for and will be starting tomorrow.

NiteOwl - do you want me to send Diamond Emma back to you? Let me know.

Hobby stores sell decal sheets that can go in an inkjet printer. It looks like a white sheet of photo paper. You don't even have to use it in a printer, you can just cut out the shape you want then apply it.

You can also use soft vinyl, the kind they make shower curtains out of. I got a big piece for next to nothing from Lincraft. It's what I used for Gladiator's chest emblem and the lightning bolt zig-zag pattern down Thundra's legs.

I went paint shopping yesterday. Games Workshop was a bit of a bust, but Toyworld came through for me - three colours of Tamiya paint in the shades I needed. The girls behind the counter thought I was a bit odd because I had a reference pic on my phone I kept looking at.

Today - setting up a makeshift spray booth in the garage!

Thanks for the decal info, will get to it when I'm at that stage.

Thanks for showing me how to set up a spray booth etc.

Thanks for anything else that I haven't thanked you for.

I hope that covers it.  Wink Wink
