I'm amazed at how quickly some of this stuff gained in value. Back when I was rabidly scouring the pages of Toy Shop for my next deal, I remember seeing piles of Belloq for $8 each, or Han in trenchcoat 4 for $20 (I think Lee's still offers him as a subscription perk!) I remember you could get a case of Mumm-Ras for $50!

I love how popular this thread has become. I might spin off a couple from it.

We never really had mail aways in this part of the world I remember at the time I wrote to Kellogs about the storm trooper Han but they couldn't do anything for me. The first one I got (from a comic shop at a much marked up price) was the toyfare shadowcat one. I needed her for my somewhat piss poor excalibur display of Shadowcat Nightcrawler and Kylun (Captain Britain eventually got done at the end of the 5" days)

Ugggh....those fucking Wizard mailaways and their horrendously overpriced international shipping.

I remember jumping through hoops to get Kitty. Then she arrives....I opened the package.....took one look at the figure......put it back and I'm not even sure where it is now?

Was digging around in my closet and found two Hoth Backpacks and three gas masks from the Survival pack!

Pretty sure I still have the belt and hook hiding out in a weapons locker from the Chewbacca Bandolier somewhere too. Gonna have to keep an eye out for it.

It was a matter of focus. The Duke hate came from the fact that Duke was the focus character for the cartoon, whereas he was a secondary character in the comics.

Add to that, Hasbro's lack of balls when it came to the matter of his death in the Movie.

For my Money, Duke was always a more relatable character than Snake Eyes, who is mute. Sure, Snake Eyes was the mysterious loner, but I just liked other characters better.

As I got older, I learned what a badass Stalker was.
